Fitted wardrobes designed for your room

A fitted wardrobe should solve the room, not simply fill a wall. We plan the interior first — hanging lengths, drawers, shoes, shelving and access — then resolve the doors, proportions and finish around it.

Made to measure

A useful space first. A beautiful finish throughout.

Designed from the inside out

The useful part starts behind the doors. Tell us what must fit and how you use it. We balance storage density with easy access, then set out the exterior so it sits naturally with skirting, coving, sockets and adjacent furniture.

For alcoves, chimney breasts and sloping ceilings

Made-to-measure construction lets the furniture use difficult edges without leaving impractical gaps. Scribing, fillers and shadow lines are considered early, not hidden at the end.

Project material sourcing: Materials for the sloping-ceiling wardrobe shown in our portfolio were sourced from Selco Builders Warehouse. Sixes Carpentry is an independent contractor and does not claim endorsement by, or a commercial partnership with, Selco.

Finish and details

Door style, handles, colour, lighting and internal finishes are developed as one composition. Where a concept image helps you compare directions, we can create an AI-assisted visual before detailed measurement.

Questions about fitted wardrobes

Can wardrobes be fitted to sloping ceilings?

Yes. The layout and door divisions are tailored to the available headroom and roof angle.

Can I start without drawings?

Yes. Photos, rough dimensions and a list of what you need to store are enough for an initial conversation.

Planning your project

Specify the storage before the doors

We set out hanging heights, drawer access and shoe or shelf space against the actual room, then consider hinged or sliding door clearance. Sockets, skirting and uneven walls affect where the carcass and fillers can sit.

Painted MDF Shaker fronts, plain doors and timber or oak-toned interior details give different looks and maintenance needs. Lighting and mirrors need to be planned with the available services rather than assumed.

  • Full-height hanging and shorter double-hang zones where practical
  • Internal drawers, shelves and shoe storage sized for what you own
  • Measured fillers, scribed edges and door clearances at sloping ceilings

Practical questions

Do I need a finished design before enquiring?

No. Photos, approximate wall dimensions, ceiling height and a list of what must fit are enough to begin.

Sixes project: In Littlehampton, Sixes replaced a failed sliding rail and mirrored doors with a new track and painted MDF Shaker doors, measured to an out-of-square opening. This is a door replacement project, not a claim that the concept image was built.

For a roof angle or restricted headroom, see sloping-space storage. Share room photos and your storage priorities through the fitted wardrobe consultation.
