Planning your project
Set out the work that later trades depend on
A first-fix enquiry needs the latest plans, wall and opening schedules, structural details, floor specification and programme. We clarify whether the work covers framing, door linings, noggins, grounds, decking or a defined combination, and who supplies the timber and fixings.
Setting out is checked against levels, structural supports and service zones so plastering, services and the eventual second fix have a workable base. Variations and hidden conditions must be agreed against the design rather than concealed in an assumed price.
- Stud partitions, openings and door linings to schedule
- Noggins and grounds for specified fixtures and service interfaces
- Defined floor and decking work where included in the package
