Sixes Carpentry is the trading name of Sixes Carpentry Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17412457. Its registered office is Abbey House, 25 Clarendon Road, Redhill, England, RH1 1QZ. Sixes Carpentry provides carpentry and building services across West Sussex and Hampshire. Information we collect

When you contact us by telephone, email, the website enquiry form or the homeowner-guide request form, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, preferred contact method, project type, project details, how you heard about Sixes Carpentry and any other information you choose to provide. Website forms may also record the landing page, form page, referring website and campaign labels attached to the page address so we can understand which enquiries came from our own marketing. A telephone number is optional when requesting the homeowner guide.

How we use your information

We use this information to provide a guide you request, respond to enquiries, discuss and prepare quotations, arrange or carry out requested work, communicate about a project, keep appropriate business records, and meet legal or regulatory obligations. Requesting the homeowner guide does not subscribe you to a newsletter.

Our lawful basis

We normally process enquiry and project information because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, to perform a contract with you, or because we have a legitimate business interest in responding to enquiries and managing our services. Where the law requires another basis, we will use the appropriate basis.

Website forms and service providers

The website enquiry and homeowner-guide request forms are processed within the Sixes Carpentry web-hosting environment and delivered to our business mailbox. A protected server-side backup of each valid submission is also kept within that hosting environment so a genuine enquiry is not lost if email delivery is delayed; it is blocked from public website access. Each genuine request receives a random reference so the website record and related emails can be matched without placing contact details in the reference itself. To limit automated abuse, the forms temporarily retain a pseudonymous HMAC-derived security identifier and recent submission times; the raw internet address is not written to that record. These security entries are ignored after their 15-minute window and removed during subsequent form processing. If you provide an email address with an enquiry, we may send an immediate transactional confirmation. A guide-request email containing the PDF attachment and a time-limited secure download link is sent to the address you provide. The signed download token contains no name, email address or telephone number and expires automatically. Our website and email services are hosted or provided through IONOS, which may process limited personal information on our behalf in order to provide those services.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We only share information where reasonably necessary to provide our services, operate the website and email, use professional advisers or subcontractors where appropriate, comply with the law, or protect our legal rights.

How long we keep information

We keep enquiry information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. Information relating to quotations, completed work, invoices or accounting may be retained for longer where needed for business, tax, insurance or legal purposes.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. The website uses HTTPS encryption when it is transmitted between your browser and the website. No internet or email system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Cookies and analytics

The website can use Google Analytics 4 to measure page visits and actions such as telephone-link clicks, email-link clicks, guide requests and successful quotation enquiries. The Google tag library may be downloaded in a restricted, default-denied state so the installation can be verified, but analytics storage, cookies and measurement events are not enabled unless you select “Allow analytics” in the website’s optional analytics notice. If you reject analytics, measurement remains disabled and the website, telephone links, email links and forms continue to work normally.

When analytics is allowed, Google may process information such as the pages viewed, approximate location, browser or device information and the conversion action completed. Sixes Carpentry does not intentionally send names, email addresses, telephone numbers, project details or form-field contents to Google Analytics. Advertising storage, ad personalisation and Google Signals remain disabled. Your analytics choice is stored in your browser so the website can respect it; you can reopen “Cookie choices” in the footer to change that decision.

Your data protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you rights to ask for access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, restriction of processing, objection to certain processing, or transfer of information. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
